LTRAS is a popular destination for class field trips and other group tours. Not all requests can be accomodated. Priority is given to classes from the University of California. Groups of scientists from other countries should contact the International Agricultural Visitors Program (fax: 530-752-0464) to request a tour. We can sometimes accommodate unaffiliated individuals on scheduled tours. Contact the tour host to see if this is possible.
The NE corner of the main experiment is at latitude N 38.54560, longitude W 121.87095.
LTRAS is located just south of Russell Blvd., about 6 miles west of Rt. 113N. From Davis, travel west on Russell Blvd. and look for our sign (we are on Kinsella Lane, a gravel road) about one-half mile after passing Rd. 95 on the right. (Traveling west through Davis, staying on Russell Blvd requires a left turn just after the road swings right and becomes Arlington. Shortly before Rd. 95, bear right to stay on Russell.) Phone number of LTRAS facility: (530)757-3162.
From the Agronomy Field Headquarters (SAFS project, etc.), travel W
(away from campus), right at the tee (by the Primate Center), then left
at the first cross-street to get on Russell.
